Harper's New Monthly Magazine

-- USE THE MAGAZINES ENTRY IN THE TOOL BAR ABOVE TO RETURN TO WHERE YOU WERE --

Harper's New Monthly Magazine contained a standard column in each of its issues entitled "Monthly Record Of Current Events".  In that series, the editors of the magazine gave summaries of events taking place in Washington, DC, and also reported on what was happening in the war.  It's interesting to read the same battle reports that people in the North were reading as the war was actually taking place.  The GO TO link below will take you to a page with links to every one of these articles from January of 1860 to December of 1865.
